Manning Materials was founded 60 years ago with it’s humble beginnings tracing back to a garage.
Every day, my father worked out of his garage as a sales rep for a company that sold various products to commercial construction companies. One day, in the late 50’s, my father realized his full potential as a salesman and a businessman, and he started Manning Materials.
My father built the business from the ground up, and he’s done a great job at it. We’ve been operating for nearly six decades carrying on his tradition.
The Formative Years
My father ran the business tirelessly by himself until I joined him in 1976 after graduating from Vanderbilt University. Over the years, we added different personnel, and now we have about 16 employees. Our hard work and tenacity brought us clients from all over the United States.
Expanding to the Internet
Several years ago, we invested in a website to give non-local clients a way to find us. Soon enough, customers from all over the United States started visiting our website. We woke up to calls from California, Minnesota, Florida, and even the Caribbean!
Our clients loved the convenience we provided. They could order online and have their partitions shipped within 72 hours. Many people prefer this ordering method of driving to a physical location.
Our ultimate goal at Manning Materials is to provide excellent customer service so our customers will come back again and again.
